Join for a reflective and social evening on November 14th at The Congregation in Detroit, where Analog Arrivals will showcase a unique collection of works created over the past year and a half. This event offers a chance to meet the artist behind Analog Arrivals and see the evolution of simple doodles into a deeply rooted creative practice, one that emerged during challenging times and has grown into a passion for analog creation. The name itself reflects a deliberate shift away from digital spaces to focus on tactile, hands-on artistry.
The works span a range of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink, pencil, crayon, and experimental methods like gelli plates, stencils, and tape. Many of the pieces are postcard-sized, a scale that felt both accessible and intimate during their creation. While none of the works will be for sale, there may be opportunities for custom commissions or to receive a special piece as a gift.
The event runs from 5 to 9 PM, with a special surprise at 8 PM. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, with alcohol for purchase at the café. Additionally, local artists and musicians have been invited to contribute their own creative energy, and if you’re interested in setting up a booth or table, please reach out in advance.
Come enjoy the art, connect with the community, and celebrate creativity in an inviting and inspiring space. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to share this experience with you!
